KeySplint Soft: Innovative resin for 3D printing splint

Since Keystone Industries launched its KeyPrint line, it has gained the trust of many dentists, orthodontists and dental technicians for the fabrication of splints and night guards. KeyPrint Soft resin is an innovative resin due to its robustness and its priority for patient comfort and safety.

The unique formulation of the resin allows the bending properties to change over the temperature range of use. The material is more flexible at body temperature. When outside the patient's mouth, the material becomes more stable and therefore maintains dimension over time. In dental applications, the ability of the material to withstand forces and wear from mechanical forces in the patient's mouth is very critical to its clinical longevity. A comprehensive study has shown how these dynamic mechanical properties make the KeySplint Soft material much superior to other counterparts (2mm splint sheet, standard clear PMMA disc, dual laminate 2mm) in wear simulator testing. In addition, this unique modulus change over temperature also makes KeySplint Soft much more resistant to material fatigue due to the cycle of intraoral insertion and removal throughout use.

KeyPrint KeySplint Soft is a certified Class IIA/2A biocompatible material that can be used on multiple open-system 3D printers, including Asiga, Ackuretta, Moonray, Miicraft, RapidShape.

Within the U.S., KeyPrint KeySplint Soft is indicated for the production of orthodontic and dental devices such as mouthguards, nightguards, splints and repositioners

Outside the USA, KeyPrint KeySplint Soft is indicated for the fabrication of orthodontic and dental appliances such as bite splints, mouthguards, nightguards, snoring appliances, splints and repositioners.
